Ms. Black Texas USA advocates for Financial Wellness for ALL. She uses her knowledge and strategic partnerships with both government institutions, private entities, and people to bring resources to the community to promote financial Wellness. She is set to compete for the title of Ms. Black USA in August 2021 and optimistic to make Texas proud. - Held hands-on one budgeting courses with men and women who were displaced from their home due to domestic violence.
- Partnered with the City of Houston’s Financial Empowerment Center to bring certified financial counselours to Houstonians.
- Partnered with Bank On Houston to provide better banking options to help Americans who are unbanked, underbanked, and targeted for predatory practices.This partnership also avoids harmful banking products such as cash advance loans, payday loans, auto title loans, accounts with high monthly fees, and exorbitant overdraft fees, and many more products often have excess fees and interest rates — almost as high as 500% in Texas.
- Joined forces with Lanita Hale to help feed 4,000 people a month and simultaneously helping people save weekly on their grocery expenses in the Houston and surrounding area by providing groceries weekly and is expanding their efforts to help additional communities through caravan for change.
